Morning is a mirror.
Three mirrors swing open at six and close at six, the weather runs to a timetable, and gravity depends on how high you climb. This is what living inside a colony means, in numbers.
Mirror schedule
Daylight, live.
The mirrors open over the hour after 06:00 and close over the hour before 18:00. Their angle sets the light in every street.
- 06:00–07:00Opening
- 07:00–17:00Open · 45°

Spin gravity
The higher you go, the lighter you get.
The colony turns once every 1 min 53 s. That spin presses you to the ground at one standard gravity, and the effect falls away evenly toward the axis, where you float.
Street level
Speed of the ground you stand on, relative to space. You never feel it.
From your front door to the axis. Clouds sit about a quarter of the way up.
Throw a ball high and it lands a little behind you. Children here learn to aim spinward.
